Since releasing her first single "Going To Walk That Line" in June 2021, Donita has been a sought-after performer on festival stages and shows as "Donita Large & The Small Band". Donita's original music has taken her to new heights, and she is collaborating with award-winning Producer Chris Birkett (produced Sinéad O’Connor, Talking Heads, The Pogues, Quincy Jones, Steve Earle) to complete an album. Donita Large & The Small Band continue to play the best stages around including the Edmonton International Fringe Festival, RavenWood Music Festival, K-Days Indigenous Showcase, and the Maclab Centre for Performing Arts. They donated their time and talent at the Spring CAM Fundraiser at High Note Bar and Grill on April 14, 2024.
