Opening the evening is Juno / Maple Blues nominated Songwriter-Guitarist Sean Pinchin, on a mission to preserve the art of story and song. Equipped with his trusty Martin D28, Sean is a one-man wrecking crew often referred to as a "Guitar Hero". Incorporating Slide Guitar with both Flat-Picking and Finger-Style techniques Sean has developed a unique approach to the instrument that pairs perfectly with his gravely yet smooth vocal style. Sharing songs from his RustBucket, Monkey Brain and Bad Things releases, this is one performance not to miss!
77th Ave Blues is a group of talented musicians joined by a love of music and driven by blues. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, the group plays deep into the blues genre from Muddy Waters and Junior Wells to Buddy Guy and Albert King and is nearing completion of their first release of original blues material. While all band members are accomplished in their own right, the result of the grouping is great music and good fun!
